Welcome to my final year page! During my final year, I completed my Major Project alongside the Professional Practice: Independent Design Practice and Visual Culture: Practice Research modules. Earlier in the course, I worked on professional design briefs that strengthened my client communication and project management skills.
I also completed the Promotion and Employability module, where I developed my research, self-promotion, and professional presentation abilities. This year has allowed me to refine my creative approach, and I’m excited to share the outcomes and demonstrate my growth as a designer.
Student flyer for Southsea Brunch Klub
Here’s a flyer I designed for Southsea Brunch Klub in my Professional Practice module, promoting student deals and brand loyalty. This unpaid freelance project helped me manage costs, time, and client communication.
Visual Culture: Practice Research – Decolonising Displays: To What Extent Should Certain Artefacts Stay in British Museums?
This is my dissertation project, focusing on four artefacts still debated for return. The final outcome was a museum-themed piece that sparked conversations on colonial history and also encourages further exploration.
Professional Practice Design Briefs
For the RSA Spark competition with Network Rail, I chose the Railway 200 and Beyond brief to make heritage railway volunteering more accessible. Inspired by my dad and his colleagues, I designed a heritage display to connect 200 years of history and engage new volunteers.
Using surveys, I developed volunteer profiles, identified challenges, and refined my problem-solving skills. I showcased my ideas on a competition board for the RSA while ensuring the display would have a lasting impact on the volunteers.
Major Project
My major project explores the mental health benefits of boxing through a psychological lens. The outcomes include an interactive book that takes the reader through a boxer's journey and a handmade zoetrope showcasing a boxer’s motion, both highlighting how the sport promotes resilience, focus, and emotional well-being.

Professional Practice: Promotion and Employability
In this completed module, I developed my CV, online and physical portfolios, and self-promotional materials to prepare for the industry. This is also where I discovered ‘Molly Moo Designs,’ my new personal branding. Part of my brand is being unique, so I screen printed my business cards with a textured cow print, alongside creating a printed portfolio, a CV mailer, and other outcomes.
